PSPN is the student run morning announcement program at Pond Springs Elementary.
How do I get an announcement on PSPN?
To have your announcement read on PSPN, please email us here, or click the link on the home page.
Please submit all requests at least 48 hours in advance, to allow our crew time to put it in the show and rehearse.
All announcements are subject to PSES Administration approval.
Who is on your crew?
Our crew consists of fifth graders from Pond Springs Elementary School. Any fifth grader can apply to be a member of the PSPN crew. Applications are available on the school website front page.
What time does broadcast start in the morning?
All crew members must be in the broadcast room by 7:25 in order to participate. Exceptions to this will be made if the student eats breakfast in the cafeteria.
What are the different PSPN crew jobs?
Anchor: Reads the main text of the morning announcements. Must be a fluent, expressive reader.
Pre-Production: Types the new information into the template for on air talent to read.
Director: Cues the anchors, reporters, and special guests.
Post Production: Turns on/off lights. Controls the sound board.
On Air Talent: Reads the script on air, including weather forecast and special announcements.
